Welcome to my blog! I hope you find it interesting! To give a little background of myself, I am a high school mathematics teacher in the Western Mountains of Maine, and my wife and I have 5 children (plus another on the way).**That's now 6 children, as of November 30, 2005. For over 10 years, our small independent church has been without a pastor, and over those years I have preached the majority of Sundays. In recent years, we have been challenged in our traditional understanding of scripture. In particular, the general tendency of Christians is to interpret scripture so that it fits our theology, instead of allowing scripture to determine our theology. For four years, now, I have attempted to reverse that approach.
I decided it was time that I created a place where I could post interpretations that I see in scripture. As you read the various postings, I hope you will read them with an open mind. I welcome your thoughts on my interpretations. I certainly do not claim to have all the answers, but this seemed like a great way to get a variety of people's opinions on several things.
Of course, sometimes I may just decide to post articles on completely different topics, so you never know what you might find!
So - again, welcome, and I look forward to hearing your responses!
