'Also Known As' - Renaming Movies, Books, and TV Shows

Let's play a game. The name of the game is Rename your favorite book or movie.

Yesterday we went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. Which, incidentally, I liked even better the second time, and I really liked it the first time. Definitely more intense than the first three, and deserving of its PG-13 rating, so think carefully before taking your children to see it!

But I was thinking, it's odd that the book was named "The Goblet Of Fire". After all, the Goblet of Fire's only purpose in the book is to get Harry into the tournament, and then, after the first few chapters, that's really the last we hear of it. So why name the book "The Goblet Of Fire"? Why not "The TriWizard Tournament", or something obvious like that?

Then, last night, I flipped on the TV and saw that "Finding Nemo" was on. Since I was thinking about movie titles anyway, I found myself wondering, would the movie have flopped if it had been titled "Looking For Nemo", or "Over The Dropoff" or "What Was that Clownfish's Name?"

And then, since we're in the Christmas season, I thought of "Skipping Christmas", and remembered that when they made a movie out of that book, there was another movie coming out the same time with a similar title (Surviving Christmas, maybe?), so they decided they had to rename it. So who came up with "Christmas with the Kranks", and why?

So here's the game. Pick some of your favorite books and/or movies, and rename them. No fair saying "I like the title it has." The rule is, you must change the title, even if you think it was the best of all possible titles. What name would you pick? Or, what names do you think would have been funny, or what names would have made it flop? I'll get us started, and anyone who wants to join in the fun, post a comment back to me, listing yours.

Ready?

Finding Nemo: Sharkbait Ooh Ha Ha!
Ender's Game: The Enemy's Gate, or The Battle Room
A Beautiful Mind: Nash
Moby Dick: Whale Tale (ha ha), or Ahab's Folly
Return Of The Jedi: Redemption of Vader
Lord Of The Flies: Pig's Head On A Stick.
Monsters Inc.: Eyeball <-- That's for Daniel.
Tale Of Two Cities: The Worst Of Times

Okay, your turn. Anyone want to rename the movies and books I've listed? Or add some of your own?

so...does this mean I shouldn't bother watching "Snow Dogs"?

Speaking of "The Village" - I saw a preview for M. Night Shoobydoowop's new movie this week.

Doug Replied: imdb.com gives a brief description of what the movie is about.
