It's October 1st. Is that too early to get into the Christmas spirit?

I've always been curious - is there a difference between "Immanuel" and "Emmanuel"? They seem to have the same general meaning, I was just wondering if you knew whether it was more than a simple spelling difference or not.
Doug Replied: Well, I think it's a Hebrew word, but when that Hebrew word was transliterated into Greek (and then into English from Greek!) that resulted in the alternate spelling.
And don't ask me which is "more correct", because I don't know.
