Jeorge Sings A Hymn
Well, this is for my mother, who probably spends some of her time worrying about me...1. I went to bed at 9:00 and didn't get up until 6:00, so I'm catching up on my sleep.
2. This morning I was walking down to the church, and since there was a car waiting for me at the crosswalk, I jogged across the road and then suddenly thought "Hey! My back doesn't hurt this morning!"
So there you have it. My month is improving.
I thought people might be interested in hearing Jeorge sing a song. This is going to be part of our concert this coming year: Come, Christians Join To Sing
In keeping with the "Join The Chorus" theme, Jeorge will be asking the congregation to join in on the "Alleluia, Amen" part. And, for those who are accustomed to me trashing existing hymn tunes, I didn't do anything to this one, other than put it in 6/8 time, and I can't claim credit for that idea!
During the Sunday School portion of our presentation, we'll be talking some about God's power, so Jeorge will be doing his "cockroach skit", which is not new - it's the one in which Jeorge is first scared by a cockroach, and then ends up eating it, and feeling rather sick. It's actually one that a lot of people ask me about, and hope I'll do again sometime. It's been in the mothballs long enough that I figure I can pull it out this year.
By the way, I'm still hoping for some people to pay a visit to The Problem Site and try out the new version of the site...

Doug Replied: heh...thanks. I actually have another new song...Uncle Jim singing "Mighty Is Our God". I don't know if/when I'll get around to posting that one!
