And this is not a sales call. Me: Okay, if it's not a sales call, what is it? Candy: Well, Okay. As I said, my name is Candy, and I'm with the Dove Foundation. We're a non-profit organization [starts to give me a lengthy speech about their organiztion]... Me: Do you have a website? Candy: Well, Okay. As I said, we're a non-profit organization, and our website is double you double you double you dot dove dot org. Me: [begins typing address] Candy: But this is just an informational call, and it'll only take another ninety seconds. Is that okay? Me: Sure. Candy: Well, okay then. Thank you for your time. [click] (and no, it wasn't me that hung up!) I'm telling you, the calls in which they ask for the lady of the house are the funniest ones of all. ![]() But I did visit The Dove Foundation, and it eppears to be a movie review site. In one respect, it's much nicer than kidsinmind (a website I no longer recommend) It's nicer because it doesn't have annoying and obtrusive pop-up advertisements (which is the reason I no longer recommend kidsinmind. This is apparently a very new website - they have a google page ranking of zero out of ten. To put that in perspective, my personal blog here has a page ranking of four out of ten. Ha ha...according to wikipedia, The Dove Foundation has been fined seventy thousand dollars for violation of "Do Not Call" laws.
