May UpdateWell, I've been getting random emails from random friends and acquaintances that say: "So, what's new with you these days?"So it seems like I'm writing the same things over and over again... And isn't that what a blog is for? So, this is just a bit of a random update. First, I'm working on several projects simultaneously, including a software upgrade for Pionite (Pioneer Plastics), Salt Of The Web, SwitchCars (although that project is temporarily on hold while the site owner figures out what upgrades he wants to add), The Puzzler Store, and writing 99 math problems for Howard County, Maryland. Yesterday I was contacted by a publisher who has a pile of Math/Science tutorial DVDs he wants me to review. Since I don't have time for that, I'm passing them off to some teachers I know (guess who's doing the Physics one!). A math teacher out west is going to review some of them, and I'm waiting to hear back from a couple other teachers. I'm also, in between everything else, still trying to work on my series of lessons for camps. I sang a couple songs in church Sunday night - one was with a men's quartet. We sang "Because He Lives", which I was supposed to sing with them Easter Sunday, but couldn't because I was sick. I also sang my version of The Church's One Foundation I've had several comments recently on my singing - none of which were too surprising - I've gotten the standard "You sound like Michael Card" and "You sound like John Michael Talbot". I say not surprising, because those are two of my favorite singers, so I suppose I subconsciously emulate them. I think there's an object lesson in there somewhere... But Sunday night I was talking to Myung, and he said, "Don't you wonder what would happen if you dropped everything else you're doing, and just concentrated on music full time?" Well, yes, sometimes I do wonder that. Mostly, though, I figure I'd just starve to death. ![]() And finally, for those who are wondering about a particular project that I was working on several months ago, which you haven't heard squat about in a long time...well, it got held up in production. The latest word I've heard is "Mid June" We'll see... I guess that's all for now. Posted On May 22, 2007 at 11:11 AM
