Trent's First Blog Entry

My new life began on April 7, 1973 (for those of you who do not know what a "new life" is this sentence may make me seem younger than I really am ;^)

My aim for this blog space, so nicely provided by my friend Douglas, is to record thoughts and observations from God's Word. These observances will, Lord-willing, show how God's Word is the only proper lens through which life can be seen and make sense.

Here's a Bible verse which has deeply changed my life:

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer. (NKJV)

A foundational life verse. My prayer is that this will also be the foundation of each blog entry.

If no one reads this but you Doug, how will I even know?
Thank you for opening this space for me.

How will you know who's reading this? Well, people who read it regularly will occasionally post comments to it, people who wander in and out are less likely to post comments, but they're still there. From time to time, if you're curious, I can send you some stats on the number of times your pages have been viewed.

and, may I say...

WELCOME TO THE PLAYGROUND!!

Or maybe, it's just a playground.

One question...are you going to leave the blog caption as:

"Get Trent's Opinion, Free Of Charge."?
